Privacy Policy

Trapkovac — a Serbian course for English speakers. Last updated 18 August 2026.

The short version. Trapkovac has no account, no server, and no advertising. Everything you do in it stays on your phone. The one thing that ever leaves your device is audio from the optional speaking exercise, and that goes to Apple, not to us.

What we collect

Nothing. There is no account to create, no email address asked for, no sign-in, and no server belonging to us for anything to be sent to. We do not receive your name, your progress, your device identifier, your location, or any record that you use the app at all.

There is no analytics software in the app, no crash reporter, no attribution or advertising framework, and no third-party SDK that collects anything. This is checkable rather than merely asserted: the app declares Data Not Collected on its App Store listing, and Apple requires that declaration to account for every framework inside the binary.

What stays on your phone

Everything you do here — the words you have learned, your review schedule, your streak, the time you have studied, your daily goal, your settings, and a nickname if you chose to type one — is stored on the device you are using. It is never uploaded. It travels in your iPhone backup, because that is how iOS backs up an app's own storage, and it is covered by Apple's protections for that backup rather than by anything of ours.

Deleting the app deletes all of it. Settings also has a Delete everything control that erases it without removing the app.

There is no advertising

Trapkovac shows no ads. It contains no advertising software — not disabled, not present — so nothing is fetched from an ad network, no advertising identifier is read, and iOS will never ask you on this app's behalf whether it may track you across other companies' apps.

If that ever changes, this page will say so before it does, and the change will be described plainly rather than buried.

The one exception: speaking practice

One exercise in five can ask you to say a Serbian word out loud, and it is optional — it can be switched off in Settings, and the microphone is never opened otherwise.

While you hold that button, your device records you and passes the audio to Apple's speech recognition service — the same service your keyboard's dictation uses. Apple handles that audio under Apple's own privacy policy, not ours. The app receives the recognised words back, checks them against the expected answer, and keeps neither the audio nor the text. We never see any of it. This is the only part of the app that needs an internet connection.

Serbian is read aloud using your device's own built-in voices. That direction records nothing and sends nothing anywhere.

Children

Trapkovac is written for adults learning a language and is not directed at children. It collects nothing from anyone, of any age.

Your rights

Rights to access, correct, export or delete personal data — under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA or any comparable law — apply to data a company holds about you. We hold none. There is nothing for us to disclose, correct, hand over or delete, because nothing ever reaches us.

The data on your own device is yours and entirely under your control: delete the app, or use Delete everything in Settings.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes with it and the app's own privacy screen is updated in the same release. The two are kept saying the same thing deliberately.
